A 14th-century building just outside Colchester town centre, where our ceremony and celebration take place under one roof.
View on Google MapsWe'll exchange vows in the Oak Room at 4pm — a romantic space that we instantly fell in love with as soon as we visited the venue. The whole building is full of character and charm, with the old architecture that we always envisioned in our forever home.
Please arrive from around 3pm, you'll need to be seated by 3:45 at the latest. If you're even earlier that's great, feel free to grab a drink from the bar while you wait, however don't be late!
After the ceremony, we'll celebrate with drinks, canapés, and a finger buffet. There'll be dancing into the evening — everything wraps up at midnight.
Dress code is smart — whatever you'd wear to a nice dinner out. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when you RSVP.
We're staying at the hotel on the night — and we'd love you to stay and join us for breakfast in the morning as well. The Rose & Crown has 39 bedrooms, with preferential rates for wedding guests.
